THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Renewal Manager, you will be responsible for renewing subscriptions to Betterview’s enterprise SaaS software platform with Betterview customers. Betterview’s software platform is being used by large and small insurance carriers that want to improve their quoting, underwriting, and claims processes using the power of geospatial imagery, analytics, and workflow tools that create a better insured and agent experience and their company’s bottom line through greater transparency and speed.

You will have wide-ranging experience from customer relationships management, negotiations, SaaS contract expertise, understanding and conveying the value of products, and technology product-focused accounts to enable executing renewals and upsells. In this exciting and dynamic role, you will be responsible for minimizing financial attrition, securing highly beneficial terms with our customers, partnering with the Sales, Customer Success and Value Consulting teams to identify growth and provide key insights to the business that improve future outcomes.

A deep understanding of Betterview’s products and the operations of property insurance carriers are critical to success in this role. You will have broad support throughout the sales process from a variety of roles including Customer Success, Value Consulting, Product Marketing, Special Projects and the founders of the company.

Building strong relationships that enable us to hit annual targets and budgets is an integral part of this role. This role is a commissioned position with significant upside for top performers.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Developing and implementing strategic sales and renewal strategies and providing updates towards goals.
  • Understands and effectively communicating the company’s value proposition, technology, process and any related partnerships.
  • Building and maintaining good customer relationships at all levels with a clear understanding of the customer decision making process.
  • Establishing and maintaining close relationships with current customers throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
  • Owning and executing win/win negotiation strategies for renewals that maximize contract value while protecting and enhancing customer trust.
  • Collaborating cross functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Alliances, and Value Consulting to developing strategies for upcoming renewals.
  • Maximizing account growth by playing an active role in partnership with the customer success team and helping to understand potential upsell/cross-sell and expansion opportunities.
  • Identifying customer requirements, uncover roadblocks, and demonstrate strong account management and commercial capabilities to drive renewal to on-time closure.
  • Experienced and proactive at leveraging customer data and behavior to assess the health of each renewal
  • Defining and implementing a Renewals Playbook as we expand our customer base.
  • Accurately maintaining/updating a rolling forecast of your territory and communicating any renewal risk to internal resources to develop resolution strategies.
  • Understanding and articulating the customer’s internal business processes in order to work collaboratively with internal resources on tailoring a personalized solution for the customer.
  • Actively identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities at existing customers.
  • Ensuring that Betterview customers are referenceable and that they will refer us to other companies in the industry.
  • Keeping Salesforce up to date with current statuses of all owned accounts.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR COMPANY

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 4+ years’ experience in a Sales or Renewal Manager role with a proven track record of selling enterprise deals.
  • Background in Insurance and or selling technology into Insurance market.
  • Experience working with enterprise-level customers and navigating contracting and procurement cycles.
  • Excellent and proven negotiation skills with experience driving contracts to completion.
  • Excellent communicator with clear, concise and compelling presentations.
  • Salesforce experience.

  • Demonstrates excellent listening, negotiation, organizational and presentation skills
  • Has a willingness to travel up to 25% - 50% travel, post COVID 19.
